Two dozen people died and sieveral others have been hospitalised after consuming spurious liquor. The gruesome incident took place in district Morena in Madhya Pradesh.
Senior government officials rushed to the Chhera and Manpura village, where locals have denied to cremate the bodies until action is taken. The bodies have been sent for post mortem as locals staged a protest.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan echoed similar sentiments and sought a report on the incident, assuring stringent action against the culprits. He transferred district magistrate and SP of Morena immediately. Meanwhile, Congress has slammed the BJP government over the hooch tragedy.
The big question here is who killed these 24 people. Spurious liquor is sold across Madhya Pradesh under the umbrella of politicians. Inn a recent case of spurious liquor in Shivpuri, a BJP leader was nabbed. It strengthen the suspicion over the politicians of other area.
Excise department is also working under the direction of such politicians in stead of following excise act. These excise officers liquor mafia and politicians have a very strong nexus. This is one of the reason that top most officers are still on their chair in spite of the deadly spurious liquor case. These people are the real reason of the death of the people.
