A change without support of society never long last: Dr. Mohan Bhagwat

“Western countries consider music as entertainment. It is played for thrill there. But in India, music is meant to soothe the soul. It is an art that calms down the mind,” Dr. Mohan Bhagwat.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday was addressing swayamsevak during the closing ceremony of Ghosh Shivir in Gwalior. He said the Sangh is not a military organisation, but a group with family atmosphere.

He urges the society saying , “people should support the sangh by their direct and indirect act. As the sangh is working for the betterment of society. A change in society doesn’t  long last if it is not supported by the society,” he added.

The people who don’t know much about RSS have various notion. Here in the Swar Sadhak Sangam Dr. Mohan Bhagwat shares description of Sangh, “Sangh is not an all-India music school. Martial arts programmes do take place (in it), but Sangh is neither an all India gym nor a martial arts club. Sometimes, the Sangh is described as a paramilitary (force). But Sangh is not a military organisation.”

A four-day Ghosh Shivir (musical band camp) of Madhya Bharat Prant was conducted at Kedarpur Gwalior from 25 to 28 November. Dr. Bhagwat joined the event here on 27th and 28 November. Dr. Bhagwat had reached Gwalior on Friday midnight to address and guide the ghosh shivir that began here on Thursday.

More than 500 Ghosh vadak (instrumentalists) drawn from 31 districts of Madhya Bharat Prant took part in the camp. Ghosh vadak of age group 12 to 65 took part in the glorious event.
