Indore going to be the first international airport of Madhya Pradesh. Indore to Sharma flight will begin soon. Customs commissionerate has approved and notified Indore airport making it the first International airport of the state.
Ensuring smooth operations and comfortable passenger services, infrastructure and manpower are being put in place ahead of the first overseas flight scheduled in April. Air India has announced first international flight from Indore to Sharjah likely in April.
Customs commissioner Neerav Kumar Mallick shared to media, “Indore airport has been declared as an international airport and first flight is scheduled in April for Sharjah. Before international service starts, lot of things has to be put in place such as custom office, immigration centre and segregation area among others.” The work is almost done to have all facilities of an international airport.
Customs commissionerate Indore has mentioned places for loading and unloading of goods at Indore international airport. According to the Airport Authority of India, final schedule for international flight is still awaited from airlines and most likely the first flight will take off in first week
