Common Management Admission Test – CMAT 2019 exam date is January 28, 2019. The CMAT 2019 will be conducted by the newly created testing agency for higher education – The National Testing Agency (NTA) instead of AICTE. The NTA- CMAT will be held in two shifts on Monday January 28, 2019. The first shift of CMAT 2019 exam will be from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and the second shift of CMAT 2019 exam is scheduled from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM. There is no change in the CMAT 2019 exam structure which will have 100 questions equally divided into 4 sections of 25 MCQs each..
CMAT 2019 Registration process closes on December 7, 2018 at 11.50 PM. The CMAT 2019 registration last date has been extended to December 7, 2018 from earlier November 30, 2018.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the CMAT 2019 exam on January 28, 2019 for the first time in place of AICTE. NTA, a newly created test conducting body, is conducting the entire CMAT exam process alongwith other exams which were conducted by other agencies earlier.
NTA will keep the revised CMAT 2019 exam similar to past CMAT exam pattern. Accordingly, CMAT 2019 will be a three hour computer based online test, conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across four sections like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.
National Testing Agency (NTA)
NTA, a newly created test conducting body, is conducting the entire CMAT 2019 exam process alongwith other exams which were conducted by other agencies earlier. NTA will use highly secured IT software and encryption to ensure delivery of tests just in time. This will ensure no leakages and other malpractices. National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established by Government of India as a testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. NTA has replaced AICTE as exam conducting authority. AICTE conducted CMAT exam till 2018. CMAT is now known as NTA-CMAT instead of AICTE-CMAT. From 2019 onwards, NTA will conduct the CMAT exam and as such CMAT 2019 is the first CMAT exam conducted by NTA
The National Testing Agency is entrusted to address all the issues related to test preparation, test delivery and test marking. The National Testing Agency is to assess competence of candidates for admissions, standard of exam, efficiency, transparency and error free Test delivery of CMAT and other exams. NTA would initially conduct those entrance examinations which were being conducted by the AICTE as CMAT, GPAT; CBSE such as JEE Main for B.Tech and B.Arch courses, NEET UG for MBBS / BDS courses, National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) and others. Other examinations will be taken up gradually after NTA is fully geared up.
